Welcome
I am an Assistant Professor of Statistics at South Dakota State University. I develop statistical methods for human genetics data, with an emphasis in genome-wide association studies and rare variant association studies. The high dimensionality of genetics data provides many statistical and computing challenges. I try to leverage Bayesian statistical methods, for example, to compute genetic risk predictors for chronic diseases. I enjoy collaborative data science research projects, and I’m always looking for new opportunities.
